 Stables at the Farm by the River B & B, North Conway NH:

Year-round Horseback Riding, Carriage, Sleigh, Wagon & Pony rides

 Open to the general public year round for scenic horseback rides (offered even in the winter), horse-drawn sleigh or carriage rides & wagon rides. Private Victorian sleigh rides for 2-4 people or join in with others in the large sleigh (takes up to 12-16 people). Pony rides are available too.

This is an award winning, owner-operated stables. The horses are selected for soundness and good temperament and are cared for and trained by experienced wranglers all year round. This helps to make this a fun experience for all.

The most scenic ride in the Mount Washington Valley. The equestrian stables have 18 resident horses and is surrounded by views of the White Mountains of New Hampshire and located 2 miles from downtown North Conway. The trail ride winds through meadows and mixed Maple and evergreen forest, along the Saco River. Riders enjoy panoramic mountain views of Mt. Cranmore, Kearsarge, nine miles of the Moat Mountain range, Cathedral and White Horse Ledges.

 Rides begin at 10:00am.  Departure times  10 & 11:30 am & 1pm, 2:30, & 4 pm.

You must be here 1/2 hours before departure time. If you are late and the ride is and your ride goes out the riders show up late and the ride has gone out, the credit charge will be charged.

One Hour Horseback Rides Departure Times:  $50 Departure times  10 & 11:30 am & 1pm, 2:30, & 4 pm.

Alpine Moose Cottage

Horseback riding Requirement: Age, Weight & Health Requirements: Horseback riders must be 8 years old. Exceptions are made for 7 years olds that have had 10 hours of riding experience. For safety reasons the rider, should be healthy enough to be able to get on and off the horse with minimal assistance.  You will be required to fill out  a waiver release form.  For more information  See horseback riding

There is a weight restriction of 240 pounds for the horseback  riders. If the rider is over this limit, this misrepresentation in weight will result in forfeiture of payment. If in doubt, the rider will be weighed. Pregnant women are not allowed to horseback ride. Please wear closed in shoes- no flip flops. rides must be able to mount their horse without assistance. Helmets are required for children.

Pony rides are available by appointment only and are approximately 15 minutes long. $15/ride

Private Victorian Carriage Rides -Depart: 10 & 11:30 am & 1, 2:30, & 4 pm by advanced reservation. Approximately 45 minutes long: $85 for two; $120-4 people

Wagon Rides -Depart: 10 & 11:30 am & 1, 2:30, & 4 pm by advanced reservation. Approx. 45 minutes long.there is a  $60 minimum to take out a wagon ride. $15.50 -12 years and up $10.50 children 3 to 12 years. Holds up to 12-14 people.

Winter Schedule

One Hour Horseback Rides- Depart: 10 & 11:30 am & 1 pm, 2:30 pm ( no 4pm horseback ride is avail.)

Carriage and Sleigh Rides Schedule:45 minute group and private sleigh rides. Hot chocolate & blankets provided. Guests can warm up by the fireside.

Please arrive 30 minutes prior to departure times for all rides- carriage, wagon, sleigh, horseback & pony rides

Cancellation Policy- A 3 hour cancellation policy applies. Groups of more than 6 people- a 4 hour cancellation applies. If you have a change in the number of people riding, you must call with this information 3 hours of the departure time. If you do not call within that time period your credit card will be charged. You must arrive 30 minutes before your departure time. If the riders show up late and the ride has gone out, the charge will be charged.

All Rides subject to change due to inclement weather & safety conditions. If we feel it is not safe to go and we have to cancel you will not be required to pay  or you will receive a voucher. Call if in doubt.
