This owner- owned and operated stables offers the longest and most scenic trail ride in the Mount Washington Valley on 70 scenic acres with panoramic mountain views.

The equestrian stables have 18 resident horses and is surrounded by views of the White Mountains of New Hampshire and located 2 miles from downtown North Conway. On a family estate dating back to 1771, the trail ride winds through meadows and mixed maple and evergreen forest, and along the Saco River. Riders enjoy panoramic mountain views of Mt. Cranmore, Kearsarge, nine miles of the Moat Mountain range, Cathedral and White Horse Ledges. The Farm by the River is a great place to go for a New Hampshire horseback riding vacation -in the heart of the White Mountains.

During summer inn guests wake up to a full breakfast on the patio deck & watch the wranglers round-up the horses. A parade you can’t miss! We have a variety of horse from Halflinger ponies to 19 hand draft horses . We select the horse to match the person’s age, weight and abilities: from draft horses such as Belgians and Percherons , Clydesdale to quarter horses and Standardbreds.

This is an owner-operated stable. The horses are selected for soundness and good temperament and are cared for and trained by experienced wranglers all year round. This helps to make this a fun experience for all.

Please arrive 30 minutes prior to departure times for all rides- carriage, wagon, sleigh, horseback & pony rides. Reservations & Cancellations must be made by phone only. For complete information on our policies Stables Policies
One Hour Horseback Rides. This is a guided, walk only trail ride.
Departure Times: 10 & 11:30 am & 1pm, 2:30, & 4 pm. $50 /Ride
You must arrive 30 minutes before your departure time for all rides . If the riders show up late and the ride has gone out, the charge will be charged.
Horseback Riding Requirements: Age, Weight & Health Requirements: Horseback riders must be 7 years old. For safety reasons the horseback rider, should be healthy enough to be able to get on and off the horse with minimal assistance. Pregnant women are not allowed to horseback ride.
There is a weight restriction of 240 pounds for the rider. If in doubt, the rider will be weighed. If the rider is over this limit, this misrepresentation in weight will result in forfeiture of payment. Please wear closed in shoes- no flip flops.

Wagon Rides -spring-until snowfall; Depart : 10 & 11:30 am & 1, 2:30, & 4 pm by advanced reservation. Approx. 45 minutes long. $50 minimum to take out a wagon ride. $15.50 -12 years and up $10.50 children 3 to 12 years. Holds up to 12-14 people.
Pony rides -$15 offered until snowfall by appointment. Must be 4 yrs of age. The rides are about 15 minutes long.
Cancellation Policy for all rides- A 4 hr. cancellation policy applies. If you do not cancel prior to 3 hours your credit card will be charged. When in doubt about the weather please call us and we will tell you if it is possible to go out. If we decide it is unsafe to go out your card will not be charged.
Groups of more than 5 people- a 6 hr. cancellation applies. f you have a change in the number of people riding, you must call with this information within the cancellation period otherwise we will charge your card (unless we can fill the empty space). If you do not call within the appropriate time period your credit card will be charged.
Winter Stables Schedule
One Hour Horseback Rides- Depart: 10 & 11:30 am & 1 pm, 2:30 pm
Sleigh Rides Schedule:45 minute group and private sleigh rides. Hot chocolate & blankets provided. Private Victorian Sleigh Rides -Depart: 10 & 11:30 am & 1, 2:30, & 4 pm by advanced reservation. Approximately 45 minutes long: $85 for two; $120-4 people
