Our guests enjoy all the birds we have at the feeder-Rick feeds them all – regular “Francis of Assisi” of the Birds. The gardens are looking good, the birds are happy and so are our horses- trail rides are gorgeous this time of year. The Baltimore Orioles have been visiting us over the last 2 weeks! They love oranges and raspberry jam.
Children must be 6 years and up. Includes barn fun, 1 pony ride (15 min.) and a gift from the Farm: $38.
If the child is over 10 years old, a 1 hr. horseback ride can be substituted for a pony ride and they will receive an $18 credit towards a horseback trail ride (1 hr.) instead: fee of $70
This was the training phase of our horses when we first brought them home!
He likes to be with one other horse not a herd- which is hard when you have 20 horses and you do trail rides every day! And we need space in our barn for a children’s horse.
He needs the right person who is involved with him- one on one. We have no time to work with him and we think even if we had time to work with him he would not be a child’s trail horse perhaps he could be a horse husband horse.
He is good with the farrier. He would be happy with one experienced owner and if someone put some time into him probably bring home lots of ribbons as he has many.
We bought him for $2000. We are willing to negotiate the price if he can be provided a good home with someone who would be willing to take the time to work with him. Call for more information no emails please 603-356-2694
Or give us a call to reserve 603-356-2694 or to find out more!
Since last time things have been very busy at the farm. We purchased 2 more horses, which now bring our grand total up to 20 horses now! We now have a large quarter horse pony named High-Five and a little Belgian draft mare, named Iris. High- five will be used for trail rides and lessons and Iris will be pulling on one of our Victorian private sleighs and be used as a riding horse as well. We are all very excited about these new additions to our farm family and they seem to be adapting really well to our environment here on the farm.
The past month has been very good since we received a couple of amazing snow storms, one dumping about 14 inches of fresh snow upon us allowing us to begin our sleigh season. That being said we have been doing lots of private and group sleigh rides with our team Jim and Luke pulling the big red sleigh, that holds a group for about 12 people.
Don’t forget about Valentines Day- Take your loved one on a sleigh ride for two. Gift certificates are available -give the gift of memories! Bob and Charlie pulling two separate one horse open sleighs that holds up t0 four adults on each. We hope to start having more snow come soon so we can continue these rides through Christmas vacation week. We are also doing winter horseback rides that are very unique to the area and enjoyable, weather permitting.
